Karen Greene, Business Office Manager
Karen was born in Seattle and raised in both Washington and Southern California. An avid road-tripper, she has traveled across the country more than a few times, her vehicle expertly loaded to capacity. She’s been found dropping anchor in different locations including Louisiana, Kentucky, Texas, and a cold couple of months in North Dakota.
Karen and her youngest son, Thaddeus, moved back to the PNW in late Summer 2022. Thaddeus started at Waldorf in December the same year. Her eldest son, Riley, is in the Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.
She is a writer and thrives on creativity. She loves combing the beaches for shells, rocks, and driftwood, exploring the many parks and wooded trails in the area, and nurturing her creative self, taking photographs, and baking.

Greg Buck, Enrollment Manager
enroll@olympiawldorf.org
Born in Hawaii to an Army family Greg was a world traveler by the age of five. After preschool in Germany their family moved through the southeastern United States of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Greg went on to Rhode Island pursuing a culinary arts education, followed by a twenty year hospitality career culminating as general manager of an historic downtown Seattle restaurant. Switching gears, Greg returned to school at The Evergreen State College to study art history and aesthetics. Studies continued at the University of Washington Bothell where Greg acquired their Master of Fine Art in Interdisciplinary Poetry. As often happens for a cook, Greg finds themselves very happy in the kitchen, yet, as a poet, they are elated when surrounded by fine words and even more refined thoughts. The Waldorf methodology with its integration of handwork, heartfelt kindness, and active mindfulness feels like the ideal intersection for Greg’s interests, and they are so glad to find themselves here.

Rachel Nollenberger, After School Care Coordinator (Grades)
Rachel grew up in Vancouver WA where she attended private school from K-7th grade. She loved the small class sizes and sense of community. Having the ability to make connections with staff and teachers allowed her to get special help with her Dyslexia, creating a passion and understanding that all children learn differently, grow at their own pace and have unique strengths that sometimes can be lost in the grind of traditional education. Rachel attended Evergreen State with a focus on Environmental studies where she fell in love with the city Olympia and all its charm. For fun Rachel likes to paint, watch movies, garden and cook for friends and try out different recipes. She is excited to be a part of the Olympia Waldorf family and is jazzed to see how everyone grows and changes.
